Dieser Mantel ist mein Hochzeitsmantel und für mich ein Symbol von ganz viel `Glück`, natürlich auch die Freude mit dem ersten Kind schwanger zu sein.
This coat is my wedding coat, I wore it the 28th of december and it is a symbol of a lot of happiness, the joy to be pregnant of my first child

Ich habe dieses Hemd auf meiner einzigen Reise nach Deutschland 1996 getragen. Mein Vater, Edward Otto Dorrer, wurde im Jahre 1901 in München geboren. Er hatte auch noch einen Bruder Ferdinand, der im ersten Weltkrieg umkam, und eine Schwester namens Grete.
I wore this shirt on my only trip to Germany in 1996 to visit my family in Munich. I would love to return to Germany again. My father EDWARD OTTO DORRER was born in MUNICH in 1901. My father also had a brother Ferdinand who was killed in the first war, and a sister Grete.”

Das Kleidungsstück ist Teil einer Uniform, die die Studenten der Ecole Polytechnique zu ganz besonderen Anlässen tragen. Beispielsweise die Gala, die jedes Jahr entweder im Schloss Versaille stattfindet.
The piece of clothing I have sent is a part of the uniform students of the Ecole Polytechnique wear at very special occasions, e.g. the military parade on the Champs Elysées for the French National day (the 14th of July)

Als wir ab 1967 im Osten Kanadas lebten, konnte man dort im Textilbereich noch nicht alles kaufen. Dann brachte mir mein Mann diesen zweiteiligen roten Badeanzug aus Europa mit. Er passte tadellos und über viele Jahre blieb er mein Lieblingsbadeanzug.
When we lived in the eastern part of Canada in 1967, one could not get a whole lot as far as textiles is concerned. Then my husband brought me from Europe this two-piece red bathingsuit. It fitted perfectly and I wore it became my favourite bathing suit for many years.

Thea Dorrer hatte vom Wiederaufbau der Oper ein Abbo, einer der besten Plätze. Damit sie es immer ohne weiteres bezahlen konnte, steckte sie nach jedem Opernbesuch den Betrag der Aufführung in ihre Theatertasche. Thea starb im Oktober 2000.
After the restoration of the National Theatre Thea got a subscription and of the best seats. In order for her to be able to pay for the rather expensive subscription, after every visit to the opera she put the amount for the next visit to the theatre into her theatre bag. Thea died in octobre 2000
